Quebec is home to two major forests, the Boreal Forest and the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence forest however the Boreal forest covers 1/3 of the entire province and is one of the planet's richest ecosystems.
Quebec forests contain a variety of species such as White Spruce trees, Black Spruce trees, Pine trees, and Balsam Fir trees. Over the last 15 years the demand for paper has caused these woods to become exploited. Planting trees in Quebec will greatly help the surrounding ecosystem and will widely affect its habitable space for wildlife.
